IGNOU Induction Meeting – July 2025 Batch @ Mar Ivanios College Study Centre
The induction meeting for the July 2025 batch of learners of IGNOU was conducted with great enthusiasm and participation. The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with around 1,200 learners attending the programme in the event held at the College Auditorium.
The meeting was inaugurated by Very Rev. Fr. Thomas Kayyalackal, Vicar General of the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum and Bursar of Mar Ivanios College (Autonomous), Thiruvananthapuram. The programme was presided over by the principal, Prof. Dr. Meera George.
The keynote address was delivered by Rev. Dr. Gigi Thomas, Dean of Studies, who highlighted the significance of open and distance learning in empowering diverse sections of society.

Following the inaugural session, an interactive session was held where learners’ queries were addressed comprehensively.
Subsequently, students were grouped according to their respective programmes, and program-specific orientations were conducted to clarify academic procedures, assignments, examinations, and support services.
The programme concluded with renewed enthusiasm among learners as they embarked on their academic journey with IGNOU.
